Elementary school students across New Jersey will be celebratingthe legacy of Theodor Seuss Geisel – known to the literary world as Dr. Seuss – who would have been 111 today.

The beloved children’sbook author and illustrator delivered 44 books over his career which include such classics as “The Cat in the Hat,” “Green Eggs and Ham” “Fox in Socks and the perennial holiday favorite “How the Grinch Stole Christmas.”

According to his official web site, the Seuss books have sold over 200 million copies and have been translated into more than 15 languages.
